台北大巨蛋案，遠雄北市府互槓，趙藤雄在4月份，還宣布苗栗的醫療園區停建，這讓縣長徐耀昌緊張，還親自卡債清償拜會趙藤雄，希望他回心轉意，只是當地人士為了地方發展，希望不要停建，監委也到預定要蓋的園區視察，至於趙藤雄有沒有改變停建計畫的可能性，至今還沒有給答覆。
苗栗縣長徐耀昌，帶著監委來到遠雄醫療園區的預定地視察，現場一片荒煙蔓草的，說明建案工程完全停擺。
工程人員vs.監委高鳳仙：「（A區這邊有廢棄物，B區也有廢棄物，那醫院蓋在哪裡？），醫院蓋在這個位置。」
監委接受陳情，大老遠來到預定地視察，2015年4月份，大巨蛋案北市府和遠雄互槓，讓他對政治氛圍灰心，趙藤雄宣布不蓋，這可讓徐耀昌急壞了，因為苗栗一天有5000多人必須到外地就醫，如果遠雄不蓋醫院，那連帶衛生局和國家衛生研究院癌症中心，該怎麼辦。
苗栗縣長徐耀昌：「如果有誰願意來接手，然後跟遠雄來達成共識，然後接下去就能很快的接續下去。」
跟據了解，4月21日趙藤雄宣布暫停計畫，29日徐耀昌馬上帶著官員和地方人士，北上拜會趙藤雄，希望他回心轉意。
監委高鳳仙：「如果可以繼續做對縣民有利，我們會聽聽縣府簡報，聽聽遠雄簡報，希望將來能有比較圓滿結果。」
